Kingston Ontario's Historic Business District

Kingston, Ontario has a brochure with walking tours in different sections of the city.  John and Carol joined us to tour of the business district.  I'm posting a PDF version.

The corner building is
37-43 Brock Street.

William Coverdale
 designed it in 1856.

55-61 Brock Street
was built around 1865

62 - 66 Brock Street

This is one of the oldest
buildings in Kingston.
The frame was built
between 1825 & 1828.

77 Brock Street

This 1882 building replaced
the one where the
Daily BritishWhig, now the
Kingston-Whig Standard,
had its offices.

An observant Kingston resident
flagged us down & recommended
we walk down Carriage Way
to Princess Street.

We noticed the bricks
were scraped, by carriages.

This section of the alley
reminds Carol & John
 of a European city.

85 Princess Street
This house was built
by 1840.

John, Carol, Eric and I enjoyed our walk.  There's much to see in Kingston.  Next stop.... a tour of
Kingston's City Hall
.
