Driving West to Acton, California

Eric and I are spending our summer in the Western US after visiting Hawaii,  The Big Five National Parks in Utah - Arches, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon, and Zion; and the Grand Canyon in Arizona.  






We start our drive to California







The curves ahead are for the string of Roundabouts on this road.





Here's our turn to
Interstate 17 South.





This roadway hugs the
mountains.





Saguaro Cacti stand watch
over the valley.





around Phoenix.






We follow the road signs
to Interstate 10 West.





Quartzsite is 90 miles west...





Eric & I spend one night at

The daytime high is in the
low 100s.





Returning to Interstate 10 West...










California here we come!




This section of Interstate 10 is
being rebuilt.

The middle lane is used for
traffic route changes.






We drive through Indio... 










Wind Turbines generate 
electricity along this 
windy highway.

The road parallels Railroad Tracks.










We return to Soledad
Campground.




We are parked at Site A 114.

It has water, electricity &
a sewer connection.






The voltage at this campsite is OK, 113 volts.
