Our First Visit to a Meijer Store in Gaylord, Michigan

This is our first visit to a Meijer Store.

Hendrik Meijer opened his first store

in Greenville, Michigan in 1934.

Meijer dedicates funds to

assists areas it serves.

Meijer is a full-service department store with Groceries, Housewares, Hardware, Electronics, etc.  Its competitors are Walmart Supercenters and Fred Meyer Stores.

Unlike Walmart Supercenters, which has a straight aisle separating Groceries from the rest of the store, Meijer departments "flow into each other."

Floral Arrangements are adjacent

to the Produce Section.

There's a great selection of 

groceries here.

The Bakery

Dairy and Frozen Foods are located in the middle of this massive store.

Beer & Liquor are along

one wall of the store.

I love the Price Check Kiosks.

They are so easy to find.

Photo & Electronics is in

one corner of the store.

This car has been stripped of

manufacturers emblems,

making it hard to identify.

This is a 1979 Fairmont Futura

Eric and I like this store.  It has everything we could want.  We have an alternative to Walmart Supercenter when we are in the Midwest and Kentucky.
