Zion National Park in Southwest Utah

Zion is the first National Park in UtahPresident Woodrow Wilson established the Park on November 19, 1919.

A selfie with
the Zion National
Park sign.

Zion is the last of the five "Big 5" Parks that Eric and I are visiting this Spring.  Arches, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, and Bryce National Parks are unique from each of the other Parks.  I am amazed that there is so much geological variety in one State.

One of the Park's tandem
Shuttle Buses.

Zion is a very busy National Park.  Many visitors come here to hike the trails.

Eric is driving south
through Zion & stopping
at the Park's small
pull-offs to get photos.

Located on the edge of the
region has been thrust

There's a lot of
different rocks
in this Park.

Each formation is
different from the
others.

I feel tiny.

This is the road that Eric
follows as we climb
up a mountainside.

The views are
spectacular!

The first of two tunnels in
Zion National Park.

This is a perfect day
for photos.

Visitors must be careful
in this Park that needs
more pull-offs.

Erosion creates
unique art.

Approaching the
second tunnel.

I think about the
forces that created
these formations.

Eric picks the best
locations for selfies.

This overhang is
unique.

The trail to the summit
is very popular.

Fascinating formations
come in all sizes\ at
Zion National Park.
