A Day in "Boomerville" Near Quartzsite, Arizona

Eric & I are camped with
fellow Escapees Boomers
in "Boomerville," north
of Quartzsite, Arizona.

Some mornings start with a
Pancake Breakfast.

The Pancake Mixer is powered
by a cordless electric drill.

Donations collected from the breakfast will be sent to CARE, Escapees' Care Center, for RVers who are in need of short term or long term care.

Boomers set up informal activities and ask others to join in.

A group of us are heading
out to look for Geocaches.

Tony searches for a Geocache.

The cache is within 20 square
feet of its GPS coordinates.

Here's the Geocache, in
a gnarly cleft of a tree.

There's a coin inside the
container.

Some Geocaches have an
assortment of small items.

Geocachers take a small
item & add one of their
little "tokens."

Individual Geocachers record
their "handles" & the date of
their find.

The Geocache is returned to
its cleverly hidden spot.

Eric & I follow the group
on to another Geocache.

Boomers gather for
 Happy Hour.

Announcements are read, including the number of RVs that have checked into "Boomerville."  The last count was 169 RVs; our group grows daily.  After Announcements, we chat with those sitting nearby.   The day's activities are discussed and some make plans for later in the evening or the next day.

Tonight's group activity includes
watching music performers from
the 1950s to 1980s sing the
songs that define our generation.

Nearby there's a dance floor (RV Rugs securely fastened down) so we can dance under the stars.
