The 2.5 Hour Drive to Columbus, Georgia

On the road again....

We will turn right onto
Alabama State Route
27 North.

The Ozark Crawdad &
Music Festival is just
five days away.

I admire this Greek
Revival Home.

This ranch has lovely
landscaping.

The Choctahatchee River

We take the right fork as
we follow Alabama State
Route 27 North.

Yes, the tree is growing
out of an abandoned
house.

Horses graze near a
home.

I wonder what type
of farming is being
done here.

We turn onto US Route
431 North.

It's an Evacuation Route.

Residents and visitors have to drive hundreds of miles to safety when hurricanes hit the Gulf Coast.

This is a divided highway.

An access road leads to
these homes.

Welcome to Eufaula

The Confederate Soldier
Monument was erected
in 1904.

A 2010 Eufaula Tribune article recommends moving the monument because of heavy traffic.

Water Tower

Welcome to Phenix City.

Somehow, I missed the Welcome to Georgia sign... Sigh.....

We take US Route 280
East to Columbus,
Georgia.

Wasabi Sushi & Thai
has a great Billboard.

Eric & I will spend the
night in the Columbus
Sam's Club parking lot.

We are parked in a little
used section.

 It's quiet here.
