The Four Hour Drive to Stone Mountain, Georgia

Eric & I start our drive along
Columbus' busy commercial

The GPS directs us onto
side streets....

We sit for a few minutes as Police
 & Muscogee County employees
decide how to handle traffic
around a Garbage Truck that
 just broke down.

We will spend about an hour
on US 27 Route Alternate
North/Georgia State Route
85 North.

Another beautiful day for
a ride in the country.

A long abandoned
Discount store

An old water tower....

This leg of the drive is
easterly...
GA State Routes 18,
109 & 74 share this
road.

A tattered US Flag flies near
the Molena water tower.

A moldering, abandoned
home with two newer
homes in the background

North again along US Routes

GROWING Together

Eric & I will join traffic on
 southeastern Atlanta.

We filled our Diesel tank
at Valero at the cost of
$2.89 per gallon.

Exit 39 B takes us to
to US Route 78 East,
towards Athens.

Exit 39 A goes to

We continue east along
US Route 78...

Eric waves at me to
come inside...
