King William Historic District in San Antonio, Texas

The King William District of San Antonio was developed in the late 1800s by upper class residents. Large, opulent homes are interspersed with smaller houses.

The Carl Harnisch house
is a Victorian Queen
Anne.

build for Albert Steves
in 1883.

It is now a museum that is open for tours.

This Folk Victorian Cottage
built for Gustav Groos
is charming.

The George Kalteyer House's
are stunning.

The front entrance of Ike West's
Second Empire home was
adjusted to face the corner
of its lot.

The porches on the Edward
 Steves, Jr. house remind
me of New Orleans.

As does the Carl Wilhelm
August Groos home.

The William Sanger house has
features.

This house doesn't fit architecturally.

This Art Modern home was
built in the 1940s.

Eric & I love the porches

The Blondin house was built
in the Neoclassical style.

The William Kalteyer house,
with its sweeping porches
was planned to accent its
corner entrance.

The Albert Steves Carriage
house was remodeled as a
 residence around 1925.

Our next stop is HemisFair Park
& the Tower of the Americas.
