Where to Next? The FMCA Convention in West Springfield, Massachusetts

After just three day's at Jerry's house, Eric and I packed packed up the motorhome and headed east to West Springfield, Massachusetts for the Family Motor Coach Association's National Convention.

Attending Escapees's National Rally and FMCA's National Convention are on our Bucket List of activities.  Being able to attend both national events, nearly back to back, is an unexpected bonus.

We drive to the Thruway
(Interstate 90) as we start
our drive east.

This morning's drive
is a rainy one.

I catch a shot of a horse
being transported.

Fingers of clouds creep
down the mountainside.

We "bump" into Massachusetts.

The speed limit on the
Mass Pike is 65.

We're driving about
60 miles per hour in
the slow lane.

This stretch of highway looks
like many of the roads Eric &
I have traveled in the eastern
half of the country.

48 miles to Springfield

Today's drive is a short one:
just two hours.

A steep grade continues
for three miles.

The Runaway Truck Ramp
is a graded gravel incline
with a large pile of gravel
at the end.

It is a safety feature no one wants to use.

We leave the Mass Pike
at Exit 4.

And follow US Route 5...

... to West Springfield...

We pull into Gate One...

... unhitch our car & wait
to be parked.

We are parked in Section S,
the Generator Use Area.

Eric and I, along with other FMCA Convention attendees, are camping at the BIG E without electric, water and sewer connections.
