Hiking Around the Big E in West Springfield, Massachusetts

The Big E advertises the
FMCA Convention
on its sign

The candles on the Brooks Building are for thee 100th Anniversary of the Big E.

A shot of the S Lot, the Generator Area, from the top of the berm behind the motorhomes
Our "Dozer Yellow" Jeep, in the middle, is parked in front of our motorhome.

One of our neighbors is
Lady Liberty.

Maps of the Big E are
very helpful for
navigating this venue.

The Massachusetts State Building, on the Avenue of States, is in the background of this picture.

 open for lunch & dinner.

The village green in Storrowton,
the recreated 18th century
historic village at The Big E.

There's a Circus Museum
on the property.

The West Springfield
Fire House has a display
of local fire fighting
memorabilia.

The Brooks Building is named for
 Joshua Brooks, the founder of
 the Eastern States Exposition.

The Coliseum is the oldest
building at The Big E.

RVs ring many of the large buildings at the Big E.  The buildings are sources of electricity for visiting RVs.

I love this wood carving of
a guitar on the lawn in
 front of the Coliseum.

This would be a great landmark to meet at on this large property.

Many RVs at The Big E
are powered by industrial

RoadTrek RVs are boondocking
in one of the many parking lots
at The Big E.
Look at the driver's side door.  The window shade has an opening for occupants

Campers Inn:  One of the
many RV Dealerships
selling RVs at The Big E.

Aqua-Kem's display in front

Seminars are easy
to find.

Flag Plaza, just off Memorial
Avenue, is an easy to find
meet up spot.

This Unihome by Foretravel
gets a lot of attention
wherever it goes.

I bet the Wine & Cheese
Bar  is very popular.

The Food Court welcomes
hungry visitors.

RVs are parked everywhere,
including the Midway.

Barn C & Captain Nemo's
Seafood

Barn C is clean & ready for
livestock.

There are numerous barns and arenas here.  The Eastern States Exposition is proud to promote regional agriculture.

The Big EZ Cafe is open for
breakfast, lunch & dinner.

Paul Evert's drove their motorhomes
south from Escapade to the FMCA
National Convention at the Big E.

The RV Dealers will be busy...  I've been told that there are over 1,100 motorhomes here for the Family Motor Coach Association Convention.  Someone's always moving up to a larger motorhome or downsizing.

The Big E's agricultural
roots are everywhere.

There's a lot more to see here....  More posts to come.
