Our Flight From Haines to Juneau, Alaska

Juneau is a landlocked city on the Alaskan panhandle.  It became the capital of Alaska because of gold strikes there that lead to the large population in the area.

There are two ways to get to Juneau, by ferry or by plane.  In this research for our trip, Eric found the Alaska Tour Saver Book.  For $99.00 we have several hundred coupons to choose from for museums, salmon bakes, airfare etc.

We leave our motorhome at Salmon Run Campground and Cabins for our two day trip to Juneau.

A small airport is located
outside of Juneau.

We are using coupon 105
from the Alaska Tour Saver
book to get one half off on our
 airfare at Wings of Alaska
to and from Juneau.

Staff load the
airplane.

We land & taxi close
to the terminal.

Walking into the terminal....

...we find a grizzly bear.

We saved $222.50 for our flight by using our Alaska Tour Saver Book to get one airfare free.
