The Car Show in Downtown Meridian, Mississippi

Eric and I walk up and down the street to look at Meridian's Car Shos.

This 1962 MG MGA, the
smallest car here.

A full-size Tonka Truck...

I am so excited!

This is an awesome truck.

It is the largest vehicle on
display.

1967 Mustang Convertible

The owner of this Rat Rod
has a great sense of humor.

The license plate says - Yes, It Is Cool.  No, I'm Not Going To Paint It.

is adored & reviled.

Ralph Nader's 1965 book, Unsafe at Any Speed focused on his years of research on American Automobile Safety.  He concluded that passenger safety was not a primary concern of American Automakers for the fifty-plus years of information that he reviewed.

Nader took aim at the Corvair for its one-piece steering column which can impale drivers in front-end collisions and the car's rear-end suspension deficiencies.  The Corvair had other chronic problems - its near-constant oil leakage and a car heater that pumped noxious fumes into the car.

Customized 1952 Chevrolet

1949 Pontiac Silver Streak

It & the Trailer in tow were
used for the owner's
honeymoon.

It looks like it has been
preserved as a World

Each Car Show is different.  This one is eclectic.
