Traveling Southeast to Kalispell, Montana

Another drive day on

Montana's rugged mountains
appear to "float" above
its open plains.

Kalispell is 87 miles away.

Roads curve to take Eric & me
around mountains.

Elevation 5216

Eric & I see this obelisk &
turn into the parking lot.

One of the long downhill
stretches on US Route 2.

Eric & I wait for a Pilot Car
to guide us through this
Construction Zone.

The trailer up ahead looks like it's precariously parked...

Two men are at work
changing a flat tire.

The flat is fixed & the RV
returns to the roadway,
behind the Pilot Car.

Herzog does ultrasonic railroad
rail testing, looking for defects.

Gateway - Glacier National Park

Kalispell is 32 miles away.

Eric & I cross the

A Big K sign...
Why is it still standing?

We follow signs to the Northwest

There's a limited number of
campsites with electricity
here for $25.00 per night.

Eric & I are doing low profile
camping here with no personal
effects left outside.
