Road Tripping in Western Arizona: Area 66 in Yucca

Our first sighting of Area 66 in Yucca from Interstate 40.

The Truth Is Here

Eric & I park near the
giant spheroid.

This Landmark was a Real Estate Office to sell plots for Lake Havasu Estates in the 1970s.  The company's dealings were revealed to be a scam.  Fifty years later, real estate agents are still selling plots of land in Lake Havasu Estates.

Kitschy, Alien inspired sculptures
 line the parking lot.

The Spheroid is now the Area 66 Museum.

I imagine that it contains information about the 1953 UFO crash in the Kingman area.

It's scheduled to reopen
on May 20th.

There's a store on the property that sells food, beer, soda, and snacks.  It has a distinctly alien corps of porcine overseers.

First up is Oink Air.

Con is from the Yucca Pen.

Radar knows everything
before it happens.

Buster has serious
attitude.

The front door of the store
is guarded by Butzy...

... & Butts.
Western Arizona has some interesting and roadside attractions.  Let's see what there is in Kingman to explore.
