Today's Drive... Northeast to Shipshewana, Indiana

Today's drive starts
with a detour.

Eric & I follow the alternate
route to an open ramp to

This road needs work too.

Returning to I 55, heading
north toward Joliet.

Eric and I drove through Joilet in 2013 to visit the Old Joliet Prison.  Joliet is a city of low bridges, making our drive in our 12-foot 4-inch tall motorhome to the imposing Penitentiary a challenge.

Wind Turbines & farms make
a great combination.

Eric's drive is an easy one.

I assume this is a Refinery.

Exit 250 A brings us to
Interstate 80 East.

This section of the Des Moines
 River is devoted to shipping.

I look up & see two bike riders.

Exercise is important while we
are fighting Covid-19.

South Holland's overpass
is welcoming.

It has a 13 foot 9 inch
clearance.

Welcome to Indiana
The Crossroads of
America

We leave I 80 East for US 20/
avoid tolls south of Chicago.

Forsythias brighten this
front lawn.

Welcome to Shipshewana

A horse struts near Dutchman

We arrive at JC Refrigeration
