Driving West to Lake Havasu City, Arizona

Eric and I left Mesa Spirit RV Resort, took a few turns and...

.... follow Loop 202 West

Concrete bridgework has been
dyed red to reflect the name
of this section of highway.

Wild horses gallop across the
the bridge abutment.

machines for cars was a gimmick.

Loop 202 West leads to the
Interstate 10 Interchange.

We stay to the left and follow the signs west.

Eric & I retrace our steps through
this tunnel, going west.

New bridges are being built
across Interstate 10.

We will stop at the upcoming
Rest Area to swap drivers.

Quartzsite is 90 miles west...

I like taking pictures of
open desert spaces &
distant mountains.

Eric stops the motorhome.

I get behind the wheel &
drive.

Eric & I leave Interstate 10 West
for Arizona State Route 72 West.

We want to see different terrain
from this two-lane road.

A HUGE Cow Barn appears
on our left.

One Lane Road Ahead

While planning today's drive, Google Maps showed a construction zone covering a few miles of this route.

We approach this motorhome
at a traffic light.

There's no cover over the
diesel compartment.

There's line work up ahead.

We pass rugged mountains &
