Our Drive East to Palm Desert, California

Eric and I are relocating to Thousand Trails Palm Springs RV Resort in Palm Desert today.  (We are quickly recouping the initial Thousand Trails Membership cost during this winter's travels.)

Traffic is very light at 11:00 am
on a weekday.

This roofer is hard at work.

Yes, that's snow on the
distant mountaintop.

Eric & I retrace our drive
through Hemet.

quite an odor....

This is the Christmas tribute
to Lauren Aliya Lopez.

The 19-year old died here on
January 3, 2018.

This is so achingly sad.

We turn onto California

A quick look back...
Our Jeep is still there.

Concrete channels have been built
to route rainfall down the hillside
hillside, preventing erosion.

Eric & I are back in

Morongo Casino is giving
away a Tesla Model 3
each week this month.

We take the onramp to
Interstate 10 East.

Morongo Casino Resort
& Spa....

Two weeks & two
Tesla Model 3s to go...

There are Wind Turbines as
far as the eye can see.

I notice the different types
of supports.

One of several Palm Springs
overpasses

Palm Desert is 7 miles
away...

Tying up bags of
roadside trash

We leave Interstate 10 at
Cook Street....

... to Varner Road, which
parallels Interstate 10.

Eric & I are staying at Thousand
for two weeks.

Many reviews of this Resort warn of difficult parking because of the placement of Palm Trees.  Our Dash Cam shows the approach and Eric backing into our campsite, 238.

Eric sets up our outdoor LED
Lighting for the Holidays.

We have 50 amp electric service with very good voltage, water, and sewer hookups.  Our DirecTV Satellite Dish is picking up many TV Channels for our viewing pleasure.  As with other Thousand Trails RV Parks, internet access can be purchased through a third party.  Eric and I are relying on our Verizon Jetpack for our internet use.
