Favorite Pictures from Central Park in Midtown Manhattan

I took waaaay too many pictures

in New York's Central Park.

Here are my favorites:

In 1858 Agriculturalist Frederick Law Olmsted and Architect Calvert Vaux won the competition to design the 750 acre plot that would become Central Park.  The plan included sweeping greenspaces and preserving natural terrain while adding dedicated spaces for entertainment.  To accomplish this, roads, walkways and bridges were built for visitors to traverse the Park.

Central Park eventually grew to its current 840 acres.

These few pictures are show just a fraction of New York's Central Park.  The next time Eric and I are in New York City, we will return here to explore the northern end of the Park.
