Biking the Trails @ Gulf Shore State Park in Alabama

There are over 15 miles of
trails to hike & bike in

Eric and I are biking along different trails during out stay here.

One of our rides includes
the boardwalks along
Alligator Marsh Trail

Eric spots a Turtle swimming
in the water.

This Turtle sits on the
edge of the creek.

An Alligator soaks up the
sun in shallow waters.

Campsites are right
next to the trail.

This trail connects to others
in Gulf State Park.

Another day, another bike ride....

Today's ride starts out on
Bobcat Branch Trail.

A former roadbed is being
carved up for a hiking
& biking trail.

An island of shrubbery
has been planted along
the trail.

Two trails diverged in the
green woods.

Eric took the right fork.

We stop to admire the
water station.

Refill your water bottle,
use the water fountain
or get water for your
dog here.

Eric waits for me at the end
of a wooden bridge.

We are turning onto
a connecting trail.

Hikers & bikers can stop
for a meal.

An overlook above a
marshy area.

People sponsor trail side
benches.

Eric & me with Spanish Moss
covered Live Oak Trees.

Eric admires the construction
of this overlook.

   Our view...

A pavilion with a
picnic table
Eric sits & waits for me to catch up with him.

Onward....

I like the playground
next to the trail.

I imagine children's
excitement as they
hike towards it.

Eric shows off the view at
Little Lake before we
return to Gulf Shore
Campground.

This ride ends at our
campsite.

I am happy to be getting in regular bike rides at Gulf State Park.
