An 11 Mile Bike Ride Around Orange Beach, Alabama

Gulf Shore State Park has awesome bike trails.  Today's ride includes stops at Ron Jon Surf Shop and Big Wave Dave's Kitchen and Surf Shop before returning to the Campground.

We share the bike trail
with a Segue group.

The bike trail brings us to a hotel parking lot.  Businesses along Alabama State Route 182 have connecting parking lots, ensuring that Eric and I don't have to drive on the road shoulder.

I like the Surf Boards
in front of Ron Jon's.

Big Wave Dave's looks like
a fun hang out spot.

Looking across Lake Shelby,
we see beach front buildings.

Eric stops for this photo of
 him & the Gulf Shores
water tower.

A peninsula juts into

There's lots of room
for dogs to run here.

This plant reminds me
of the Burning Bush
in the Bible.

These low growing Beach
Daisies hug the fence line.

Tiny, delicate Smooth
Spiderwort flowers
hug the ground.

Birders scan the field & treeline at

A rail fence separates traffic
from the bike trail.

The tree looks like a Traffic Signal Mast Arm.  It's positioned correctly to attach traffic lights too.

Charred dead trees loom above
ewer forest growth.

We take a break at a
shaded swing.

Eric & I are biking nearly
every day at Gulf Shore
State Park.

I admire the Cirrus Clouds
on this glorious day.

Just four more miles to go and Eric and I will return to our motorhome at Gulf Shore State Park Campground.  Where should we ride tomorrow?
