Southeast to Harlingen, Texas

Our two weeks at Thousand Trails Medina Lake RV Campground has come to an end.  Today's five hour drive starts in a cold rain...

Two Does sit beneath trees
as they stay dry.

Eric starts our drive
southeast.

The Westwood Loop intersection
includes a Don't Block the Box
sign.

The Texas Department of Transportation encourages drivers to keep intersections clear.

Bridgework is "suspended"
 today.

Eric takes the Exit 574
Ramp to Interstate 37
South.

It's challenging getting a picture
of the route sign with the wiper
blades running.

We speculate on what is
delaying traffic across
the bridge.

This is a tough day to
move a household in
open pick up trucks.

Eric likes this house.

 We arrive in Kingsville.

I take a turn behind
the wheel.

Eric takes his signature
photo of his feet.

I turn onto US Route

A School Bus with a
car in tow.
I get a peek into the car and the bus...  They are filled with boxes.  Loading trucks, cars and a bus, setting up tow bars and driving them to to a new location is labor intensive.

Palm Trees line the median.

We will be following Interstate
69 E/US Route 77 South

It took a lot of time and effort to coordinate this move.

Fun Fact about Harlingen:  There are numerous gas stations that don't sell Diesel Fuel.

We stopped at this
Stripes/Valero to
get Diesel.

There isn't a picture of Eric at the pump.  I was standing in the road, in front of the bikes that hang from the back of our Jeep.  They are sticking out about two feet into the traffic lane.  With me standing in front of them, it is unlikely that they will be hit by a passing car.

We arrive at Tropic
Winds RV Resort.
