News From Home: Buying the Old Rotterdam Square Mall Twice

Last June I admitted to being

 confused about  Rotterdam

 Square Mall.

On June 7, 2015, I found a For Sale sign on the side of the former Macy's Store.  From the description on the sign, 120,000 square feet, I realized that this offering was for just part of Rotterdam Square Mall.

I found out that Macy's owns

it's store & yes, a mall can

be sold twice... in pieces.

On June 9, 2015 the sale of the Rotterdam Square Mall to Via Properties was announced. Since then, there has been no information on what will happen with the old Macy's store.  

Six months have gone by...  The old Rotterdam Mall has been bought twice....  The March 12, 2016 Daily Gazette article announced Via Properties' purchase of the old Macy's store.  The price was not disclosed.

The choice(s) made for this 120,000 square foot section of ViaPort Mall have not been announced.  I wonder what the developer's choice(s) will be.
