The Durango Welcome Center in Durango, Colorado

Scenes of the Old West,
Colorado destinations &
white water rafting with
seating for visitors.

The Denver and Rio Grande Railway was formed in 1880 to transport newly found gold ore from Durango to Denver by rail.  Suddenly, a very small community grew to accommodate incoming workers, railroad supplies and the businesses that supported this huge construction project.

I love the displays!

The chalk board is
strategically located
for young visitors
to draw pictures.

The Durango Welcome
Center is ready for a
spooky Halloween.

Eric and I left with some brochures.  We will be making more stops on our tour of southern Colorado.
