Driving West to Albuquerque, New Mexico

We are driving west on Interstate 40 to Albuquerque.

He retired from NYSDOT.

Take Exit 170 to

Historic Route 66.

Finally, a shot of
Interstate 40 West.

I wasn't quick enough to get

We are taking Interstate 25

North to Santa Fe.

Hot Air Balloons rise into
the sky at 7:40 am.

A cloud bank is

moving in.

We leave the highway
at Exit 233, Alameda
Boulevard.

And follow the signs to

the Official Balloon

Fiesta RV Parking.

It's 7:50 am.

We are the second
RV in line.

Eric registers us for

our 12 day stay.

We wait to be parked.

I admire this BlueBird

bus conversion.

Eric & I are staying with
the Escapees Boomers.

We will be crewing the
Kermie the Frog Balloon

It's time to go outside and chat with fellow Boomers.  As a newbie here, I want to talk to other RVers who have crewed balloons here and learn about the different jobs the team does to assist balloon pilots.
