Walking Around Downtown Hampton, South Carolina

Hampton's Watermelon
Festival started in
1939.

This is a cute downtown.  Let's get out and stretch our legs.

Vincent's Drugstore has
been operating for more
than 65 years.

Eric wished that Aaron's
Embroidery was open so he
could see their Greek &
 Masonic accessories.

The Tutoring Turtle

dedicated in 1948.

The Palmetto Theater
opened in 1946.

Owners of the theater
were fined for breaking
Blue Laws by showing
movies on Sundays.

This building is looking
for tenants.

I admire the antique
lighting Gazebo Park.

Visitors Center is housed
in the former Bank of
Hampton.

Courthouse was built
in 1878 - 1879.
