It all started on January 25, 2013.  I visited a Piggly Wiggly in Manchester, Georgia.  I noticed several regional foods and store brands that aren't found in Upstate New York.  To date I've visited and blogged about thirty-nine grocery stores.  Some are chain stores.  Some are independently owned and operated. Some are very large and have a huge selection of everything.  Some are small and have the basics plus regional foods.  For all the similarities the stores have, there are interesting differences.  Some stores have free coffee bars.  Some stores have dry cleaning, an area devoted to a small gift shop, etc.
