Driving East to Elkhart, Indiana

Today Eric is following
signs east to Indiana.







Today I get to reminisce.  We traveled through Illinois and Indiana last summer.

Rockford....

I had my first physical therapy

appointment at Swedish American

Outpatient Therapy Services in

 Rockford last July.

We are traveling on the

Eisenhower Interstate System.

This highway system, built for

civilian use was supported by

the Department of Defense.

This is not rush hour...

It's 10:30 am.

We are welcomed to the

Illinois Tollway.

This quarry goes on

& on... 

Traffic remains heavy as
we enter Indiana.

Another toll road

Traffic flows briskly through
the toll plaza.

This section of highway reminds

me of the Thruway in New York.

Indiana allows triple
towing.

Rules for towing vary
from state to state.

The series of bridges

catches my eye.

Speed limits on this
section of highway.

Eric pulls into a rest stop.

I hope to find an Indiana

state map here.

I like the light poles
on this bridge.

This road parallels Interstate 80.

Passing farm fields is a
nice break from reading
highway signs.

Mishawaka...

I had an orthopedic appointment

there last August.

Elkhart is the RV Capital
of the World.

Eric pulls into the Northern

Indiana Event Center.

It also houses the RV/MH

Hall of Fame, Museum & Library.

The setting of the building
is lovely.

The RV/MH Hall of Fame,

Museum & Library occupies

the rear of the building.

The Teardrop Trailer
is sooo cute!.







Visitors to the RV/MH Hall of Fame, Museum and Library can overnight in the RV section of the parking lot for two nights.
