The Glacier Brewhouse in Anchorage, Alaska

Time to try some
local beers at the
Glacier Brewhouse.

The fireplace in the middle
of the dining room is a
beautiful focal point.

Eric sampled 10 beers as
we talked with Mike, an
Amsterdam, N.Y. native.

Mike flew into Anchorage to acclimate before he starts his climb up Denali.  An experienced climber, Mike climbed Mount Rainier last year.

Eric and Mike traded stories about Bishop Gibbons High School in Schenectady.  I was an all boys high school way back when...

The brewing equipment is in
 the back of the restaurant.

Eric preferred the Bock and the Bavarian Hefeweizen.   We wished Mike a safe climb and headed off to Point Woronzof Park.
