Getting a Windshield Chip Fixed at in Homer, Alaska

Eric called GEICO, our insurance
company, to get approval to
repair the chip in our windshield.

On our drive to Homer, a  fifth wheel camper kicked up a stone and, WHAP...  A chip in the driver's side windshield.

There is no Safelite Repair service in Homer.  Lakeshore Glass is an authorized auto glass repair shop with GEICO.  Eric made an appointment at 9 am.  This is our last stop before leaving Homer.

The chip is cleaned out, a device
 is placed on the windshield
& resin is pumped into the chip.

What the device looks like
from the inside of our
motorhome

UV light is used to "cure"
the resin.

This chip, like the chip in the driver's side of the windshield, "disappears."  Eric signs the paperwork that will be submitted to GEICO and we're off...
