The Drive to the Turnoff Near Teslin, Yukon Territory, Canada

We left Watson lake at 5 pm and have a three hour drive ahead of us.

We are on the look out
for Caribou.

One of several lodges &
RV parks that have closed
northwest of Watson Lake.

We drive along the
rolling hills of the
southern Yukon.

This section of the Alaska
Highway is dedicated to
Canadian veterans.

Thirty miles from Watson Lake
we see messages spelled out
in rocks along the highway.

The ribbon of roadway
heads west.

The Cassiar Mountains

One of many ice covered lakes

We continue west,
toward Teslin.

A turnoff has information boards

This bicyclist has a long
way to go...

Here's tonight's
 camping spot.

Tonight we sleep next to
ice covered Teslin Lake.

The moon is rising at 1 am.
