Glass Repair in Watson Lake, Yukon Territory, Canada

A stone bounced up and hit the windshield yesterday, leaving a chip.  Eric pulled over, I inspected the chip and put a piece of tape over it to keep out dirt and moisture.

Having read that Watson Lake is the distribution hub for the Yukon Territory, I decided to ask about auto glass repair at the Visitor Center.  We were given Dave's name and phone number.  His morning was booked with a windshield replacement, and gave us a 1 pm appointment.

After adding our sign to the Sign Post Forest, Eric drove the motorhome to Dave's for
"the procedure."

Dave brings out the tools
he needs to work on the
windshield chip.

Dave attaches a tripod-like
device to the windshield.

After scraping off the tape,
Dave gets to work.

Dave comes inside the
motorhome to inspect the
chip before the starts the
curing process.

Voila!  The chip is gone.  We can't find any evidence of it in the windshield.

Dave has years of experience repairing and replacing windshields.  There are many windshields that can't be replaced in Watson Lake.  Dave has created and installed plexiglass windshields to help people continue after serious windshield damage.  I think he's an artist.
