Our Drive to Chisos Basin in Big Bend National Park

The Chisos Mountains tower above Big Bend National Park.  We drive between mountains to the Chisos Basin.

Bear & mountain lions
are common in this
section of the Park.

Everyone is aware of the
the danger of fire.

We rise to 5,290 feet above
sea level before descending
into the basin.

Volcanic rock forced its
way through limestone to
create these formations.

Another reminder that bears
live in this area.

Casa Grande towers above
the basin.

A Visitors Center, Lodge, Campground and trails are here for the public to enjoy.
