So Where Exactly Do We Buy Postage Stamps?

Eric & I bought post cards
at the Visitors Center in
Kingston, Ontario.

We also got directions to the
closest Post Office to purchase
Canadian stamps.

We went past
construction.

And found the sign for
the Post Office.
The door was locked.

We decided to walk into
the closest storefront door
& ask around....

The Post Office is in
the corner of the store.

Postage for post cards is
the same as for a letter here,
$1.10 Canadian per stamp.

As much as this location was a surprise to us, it is a convenient location for people in Kingston, Ontario.  Now, we have some post cards to write and mail off, with correct postage.

The only reason correct postage is a big issue is that my father, Stan Zapisek, was a retired Postal Clerk in the United Stares.  I think my brothers and I were among the few children in our area that knew the correct postage for letters and post cards while were growing up.
