Market Square in Knoxville, Tennessee

Knoxville's  Marrket Square was established in 1854 as a market place for regional farmers.  Since that time this section of the city has been an active civic center.

Market Square is a popular
place to gather in Knoxville.

Restaurants in Market Square
offer outdoor dining.

There's an eclectic
assortment of shops
here.

There's street art
around the square.

Many of the buildings
have been restored.

I like the name
of this shop.

This raised stage is used for
 events, concerts.

This is a wonderful area.  It would be easy to wile the day away enjoying local cooking, shopping, meeting friends.
