St. Michael's Russian Orthodox Cathedral in Sitka, Alaska

A picture of the original
Cathedral, built in the 1840s.

The Bishop's Chair

Artwork covers the
walls.

The Sanctuary

This is the holiest area
of the Cathedral.

St. Michael's burned in 1966.  It was rebuilt in 1976.

A few of the Cathedral's
artifacts

Candles are lit when
offering prayers.

A gift to the Cathedral in
has been credited
 with miracles.

St. Michael's Russian Orthodox Cathedral is a beautiful place to visit.  I learned about the faith while writing this blog post.
