A Day with Friends, Dave & Kathy in Upstate New York

RVing friends, Dave and Kathy, are staying at a campground about two hours west of Eric and me in Galway, New York.  We will spend our day together in the "space" between our campgrounds.

Our day starts at Landis Arboretum

Kathy leaves the Visitors Center
to meet us.

The sign says -
We Fenced in the Dinosaur
for Your Protection.

Kathy walks the labyrinth
& meditates...

Eric, Kathy & Dave pose
with the giant Birch Tree.

Birches are delicate trees and this variety is enormous.

A Turtle suns itself on a log in
the algae-covered pond.

Trees dwarf all of us.

Kathy looks so small
in comparison.

Dave & Kathy sit in Adirondack
Chairs & enjoy the view
across the valley.

After our relaxing hike at the Arboretum, the four of us get in our cars and head west to Cobleskill.

Chieftan's Restaurant & Bar
has a  patio with large
umbrellas for outdoor
dining.

Just a few doors down Main Street is The Studio for Art and Craft.  Dave, Kathy, Eric, and I drank wine as we got creative...

Dave & Kathy painted mugs for
family members.

Eric & I painted plates to add
color & style to our dinner
table.

The colors will become more vibrant after our pottery has been fired in the kiln and glazed.
We wander downtown Cobleskill...

This is the skinniest building
I've ever seen.

Skinner's Jewelers &

The old Train Station is
beautiful!

The Bakery sells Perry's Ice Cream

Dave & Eric at the Ice Cream
Window on the side of the
building.

The four of us finish our
ice cream as we walk
back to our cars.

Eric and I exchange hugs with Dave and Kathy and wish them Safe Travels.  We'll meet up again, somewhere down the road...

Update:  Our plates arrived in the mail.  Dave and Kathy had them shipped to us.  Thank you for planning our day together.  We always enjoy our time with you.

Eric's colorful plate is on the left.

My sunrise plate is prettier than
I expected it would be!
