to the Model Airplane Field...

... to watch Radio Controlled

 Model Airplanes take

to the sky.

After paying the admission fee, Eric finds a parking spot near the Air Field and we follow the crowd towards the activity...

to keep visitors caffeinated.

The Smokin Hen House has

a line of hungry customers.

in trailers.

Visitors sit behind the fence,

facing the paved runway.

Three planes wait for their

flight times.

Planes vary in size & choice

of engine.

They can be gas-powered or electric-powered.  Others have jet or rocket propulsion.

I get glimpses of planes

near the runway.

It's a perfect day to watch scale

 model Airplanes in flight.

A scale model P-47 Thunderbolt

gets ready to take off.

Owners walk off the field

with their planes after

their flights.

This small plane is very agile

& does many aerial stunts.

A scale model 1930s Airplane

This electric plane was

built for stunts...

Its owner can make it

hover...

can do.

Eric and I enjoyed watching model Airplanes soar in the desert skies.
