Kerry Park & Queen Anne Hill in Seattle, Washington

Queen Anne Hill, north of Seattle rises over 450 feet above Elliott Bay.  The view from Kerry Park, on the crest of the south slope, provides spectacular views of downtown and the water beyond.

Kerry Park is a  beautiful spot.

Residents & visitors come here
here to enjoy the view...

This is the perfect place
for a selfie.

Queen Anne Hill developed slowly because of the steep slopes leading to the top of this area.  Service by Cable Cars in the 1890s led to a construction boom and the styles of houses I've come here to see.

This large home is partially
hidden behind trees.

This could be a Dutch

This is the perfect place
for a selfie.

The homes are
beautifully kept.

Newer architecture rises
above surrounding homes.

I wonder if the porch was enclosed
years after this house was built.

This Bungalow overlooks
the crest of the hill.

It has a large porch for
viewing downtown Seattle.

This Colonial sits above its
street-level garage.

The Tudor style home was
popular when Queen Anne
was being settled.

It's all downhill from here...

... on a cobblestone street.
