Driving Northwest to Lansing, Michigan

Today's drive starts

A totem pole of signs

We are taking Interstate 90 West
towards Cleveland.

Mentor put their community's
name on a bridge across
the highway.

The highway has a sharp turn
as we near Cleveland.

Drivers, pay attention!

A shot of the Cleveland skyline.

Lake Erie

Another sharp turn near Cleveland

Progressive Field, home of
the Cleveland Indians.

The underside of this bridge has
been covered to prevent debris
from falling on cars & trucks
driving beneath it.

Avon, Ohio Welcomes You
on a bridge abutment

Eric & I talk about this electronic
billboard.

Its structure is built to last.

Check out these rear mudflaps,
across the entire width of the
tractor-trailer.

Ohio takes EZ Pass.

We chose the EZ Pass Only Lane.

Amherst Comets water tower

The QR Code on the back of
this truck says, "Scan here
to apply."

Ohio allows triple towing
on this highway.

We pull into a Service Plaza...

... to fill our Diesel tank.

It's now my turn to drive.

The trailer on the left says, "Eugene Fowler, Pro Rodeo Clown."

The Perrysburg water tower
has silhouettes of its
citizens' daily activities.

Eric's feet point to our next
turn onto Interstate 495/

Welcome to Pure Michigan

It looks like Cannabis is legal here.

Fireworks are legal here too.

Cabela's is sponsoring the
Dundee water tower.

Entering MotorCities National
Heritage Area

This spare tire cover looks
crocheted.

The left lane isn't being
used at this time of day.

Drivers aren't supposed
to cross a solid yellow
line...

I turned to the internet to find out why drivers can cross a solid yellow line in this section of Michigan.  The far left lane is called a "Flex Lane."  This article explains why the upgraded road shoulder not open 24 hours a day.

toward Lansing.

This is farm country.

We are spending the night in
the Walmart parking lot.

Eric & I are parked far
away from the store.
