Driving West to Benson, Arizona

Today's drive starts on

Shoppers have lots of choices at Bowlin's Akela Flats.

Eric & I drive through the
Border Inspection Station.

 Our first sighting of
  The THING? signs.

Akela Flats looks like an Old West town.

I take photos of picnic tables
enclosed by Casitas at a
Rest Area.

The roof provides shade.

The sides help protect picnickers
from blowing sand.

I drive while Eric takes pictures...

The windshield of our motorhome
is covered to help keep us cool
in 90 degree plus temperatures.

We have 50 amp electric service, with good voltage; water, and sewer hookups.  It's good to stay put for a while after days of driving and nights spent sleeping in parking lots.
