Eric and I want to walk around and explore South Central Pennsylvania. Because there are so few hiking trails in the area, we decide to walk around a town.
Hanover is a good-sized community
& there will be buildings to
photograph there.

The Battle here on June 29, 1863, delayed JEB Stuart and the Confederate Cavalry as they approached Gettysburg.
Two Civil War Cannons are on display in front of the former Gitt Mansion.
Construction of commercial buildings with red brick was popular in the 1800s.
The building on the right was built in 1892.

The McAllister Hotel, built in the 1920s, has been converted into A Luxury Residence.
