South to Rondout Valley Resort in Accord, New York

Eric & I leave McConchie's
Heritage Acres Campground
& start our drive south to
Accord, New York.

67 East takes us to...

... Interstate 87 South.

This Interstate, constructed from

The Thaddeus Kosciusko Bridge
is known by locals as
The Twin Bridges Over the
Mohawk.

We enter the Hudson River

And take New York State
Route 7 East...

... towards Troy.

The GPS guides us to
Interstate 787 South.

Our first sighting of the
downtown Albany skyline.

Highways make sweeping loops
before depositing traffic into
downtown Albany.

The tower on the right is part of
the D&H Building.

The inspiration for this building is Cloth Hall in Ypres, Belgium.

US Route 9W runs north/south
along the west side of
 the Hudson River.

Bee Boxes sit in an open field.

Their pollination powers are
awesome!

Stringing new cable

We pass Hi-Way Drive-In Theater
is running much-loved, older films.

Outdoor Dining...

... adjacent to BEER World.

Because of a low bridge
(12 feet 0 inches), Eric &
drive east on New York

We pass irrigated farm fields...

heading south.

A CSX Train is heading
south.

Eric passes it in our 2004

He drives the winding road through
the Catskill Mountains, which is
 an eroded & glaciated plateau.

Cattle graze roadside.

We enter the Hamlet of Accord.

Thousand Trails Rondout Valley
Resort is our home for one
week.

Eric drives around a Jughandle
Road & parks the motorhome.

He goes to the Office to
register for our stay
while I unhitch our car.

Whew... we beat the rain...

Eric & I are staying in an open
area so we can get Satellite TV.

We have 50 amp electric service and water.  There are no sewer connections in this section of the Resort.  We can pay $10.00 to have our grey and black tanks pumped out, if necessary.
