Lunch @ BeDillon's Restaurant in Casa Grande, Arizona

Eric likes to poke around the internet for interesting places to eat when we travel.

Today we are going to
BeDillon's for lunch.

On Fridays they serve
Cream of Crab Soup.

Built by Jean and Mattie Vallette in 1917,  it adobe walled property was purchased by Mr. BeDillon decades later.  He upgraded the buildings and in the mid 1980s decided to sell.  Developers, with plans to raze the property, made offers, which were refused.

Michael Jackson, no relation to The Jacksons, made an offer that would preserve the Desert Garden and the buildings.  It was accepted and the Jackson family converted the home into a restaurant in 1987.  The family has been welcoming dear friends and making new ones as their business grows....

We walk into a lovely
Desert Garden.

This beautiful property has been featured in Phoenix Home and Garden.

This is a pretty place for
pictures.

A dead Juniper Tree is
the focal point of this
section of the garden.
I could spend at least a half an hour taking pictures, but we're hungry.  Let's go find a table.

We take a right at the Bar
 & follow our Hostess
 to a table.

This restaurant was
a house.

This table overlooks the
back patio.

An intimate table
for two.

The decor includes tools
& Hot Peppers.

The former Living Room
has four tables.

We paired Chardonnay with
our Creamy Crab Soup.

It's delicious!

Eric's Jicama Salad &

My choice: Fish & Chips
Our food is fresh and perfectly prepared.  We talk about upcoming plans during our leisurely lunch.
