West... To Verona, New York

Eric & I follow a motorhome with
car in tow out of Thousand Trails
Sturbridge Family Campground.

We follow signs to Interstate

Overhead Electronic Tolling
Ahead

No Transponder?
No Problem We Will Bill You

Our EZ Pass registers with the
overhead tolling device.

It's nice not to have to slow
down at toll booths.

Welcome to Wilbraham
Home of
Friendly Ice Cream

The shoulder is closed for
sign installation.

This truck with attenuator
is protecting the mower.

Bridge Construction

I am happy to see our nation's
aging bridges being replaced.

Next up... the New York
State Thruway

Welcome to New York

We slow for a toll booth.

We continue west toward

The Alfred H. Smith Memorial
& the Castleton-on Hudson
Bridges in the rain...

A quick stop at the Pattersonville

Military vehicles on the move...

They are probably driving to
Fort Drum near Watertown.

Hunters Plaid on a barn...

A bold choice.

One of the Locks on the
that make this waterway
navigable.

are off of Exit 33.

We take the exit to
"Fair Verona."

Two households, both alike in dignity,
In fair Verona, where we lay our scene,
From ancient Grudge break to new mutiny,
Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.
From forth the fatal loins of these two foes
A pair of star-cross'd lovers take their life;
Whose misadventured piteous overthrows
Do with their death bury their parents' strife.
-from the Prologue of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare

Eric & I leave the Thruway....

... pass Turning Stone Casino Resort....

.... & arrive at The Villages

We park & register.

Eric & his bike at our campsite.

We have 50 amp electric service with good voltage, water, and sewer hookups.

I am happy to see paved roads in at this RV Park.  Let's get on our bikes and ride....
