Driving East to Sturbridge, Massachusetts

Our time at Saratoga Escape Lodges and RV Resort has come to an end....

Thank you!

Have A SAFE TRIP

Eric & I pass Horse Farms
as we travel south.

Town of Ballston water tower
on Route 50

This small house on Old
Duanesburg Road is unique.

It's a Lustron prefabricated
porcelain-enameled steel
home.

This style home was designed and manufactured to help alleviate the housing shortage that occurred following World War II.

The dream was larger than reality. 45,000 homes were promised.  3,000 homes were produced.  The estimate of surviving Lustron Homes is 1,500.

Eric & I will be taking the
Interstate 90 east to the

its interstates to comply with
Federal regulations.

Approaching the Castleton-on-
Hudson Bridge that spans the

The Alfred H. Smith Memorial
Bridge is closeby.

It's used for train traffic across
the Hudson River.

Massachusetts Welcomes You

It's official....

Eric & I are driving on the
Massachusetts Turnpike.

Today is dry, after weeks of rain.

The lawn mowers are busy
today.

You are at 1,724 Feet Above
Sea Level.

This is the highest elevation on
I 90 East of South Dakota.

Steep Grade for the next
6 miles....

... & the Runaway Truck Ramp

Something's going on the
eastbound's fast lane.

Traffic is piling up as drivers
move over to pass the trucks.

Electronic Tolling has replaced
Toll Booths.

People without transponders
will be billed based on
license plate numbers.

Interstate 84 takes us
toward Sturbridge...

Eric & I are settled on
this narrow campsite.

We have 50 amp electric service with good voltage water, and a sewer connections.
