An Oil Change & Unexpected Repair Work at Cummins in Albany, New York

Eric made an appointment at
 Cummins for an Oil Change
 last month.

During our drive northeast from Yuma, Arizona, Eric noticed that our House Batteries were not being charged while during each day's drive.  Possible causes: the Alternator is shot and we need a new one OR our 8-year-old Chassis Batteries are failing and need to be replaced.

Eric & I visit the shop
& the Tech working on
our motorhome.

The Alternator did not pass its diagnostic test.  A new one has been ordered.

The 8-year-old batteries did pass
their diagnostic test.

We decide to replace the two
batteries rather than wait for
them to fail.

The driver's side is getting
some attention....

The Exhaust Cowling from the
Engine to the Exhaust Pipe is
loose & cannot be reattached.

 It needs to be replaced.

Eric and I had no idea that there was an issue with the Exhaust Cowling.

The Diesel Engine compartment
is open for the Oil Change &
the Alternator replacement.
Our motorhome will be spending the night at Cummins.  Eric and I will find a hotel to spend
the night.  Let's see what the room rates are on Hotels.com.
