On the Road... Northeast to Weatherford, Oklahoma

We're on our way home....

Eric & I say goodbye to
the quiet rolling hills of
Roaring Springs Ranch
Club....

.... & drive slowly down their
dirt road to Texas State

Cows & their Calves
rest in adjacent fields.

After stopping, Eric & I slowly
roll through the intersection
in Matador.

We are always careful in construction zones.  Men are doing utility work today.

We return to US Route 62 East.

This section includes US Route 70.

Bluebonnets turn their faces
to the sky along the Rest
Area embankment.

I wish the sky were brighter today.  The flowers would be more vibrant and beautiful.

This channel through the mud is
Prairie Dog Town Fork of the
Red River.

Onto US Route 83...

...this section takes
us north.

Welcome to Shamrock.

Eric & me into Oklahoma

I missed the sign at the State Border, sigh....  State Borders are always easier to note when rivers separate states.

The Erick Water Tower.

Maybe it's pronounced
E-Rick.

It's pronounced just like
hubby's name, Eric.

The Oklahoma Sign at the

Eric took a selfie of him and me at that sign in 2016.

Rolls of hay dot
the fields.

Another Construction Zone

Asphalt is being milled so
it can be reused on the
roadway job.

A farmhouse with deep rust
background.

Cherokee Trading Post
Boot Outlet is at
Exit 71.

Museum is in Clinton.

See Weatherford!
Beautiful Paks
Friendly Merchants
Route 55 Landmarks

Eric & I take the next Exit.

We are staying in Weatherford
tonight at....

... Walmart.  I called ahead &
received permission to stay on
the outer edge of their parking
lot.
