"Living in a Picture" on BLM Land Near Red Rock, Arizona

Eric said, "It's like we're living in a painting."






This dirt road leads to a
desert wonderland.

These Purple "Snapdragons"
look like Mexican Skullcap.





This Saguaro continues to
live with its Nurse Tree, a


The leaves look like a Dandelion.

The flower is beautifully complex.







A budding Ocotillo.




A dead Saguaro slowly decays
near healthy, many armed cacti.






Tiny Rock Gilia blooms cover

this low growing plant.



We are not alone.

I thought they were low growing plants.






This is a Hedgehog Cactus.

I am grateful that the US Government has set land aside for all to enjoy.  The BLM Land near Red Rock is barely touched by man.  It's a quiet place to visit and revel in the abundant plant life in the Sonoran Desert.
