At 8:46 am and 9:03 am, on September 11, 2011 two commercial airliners, flown by terrorists, hit the World Trade Center Towers in Lower Manhattan. At 9:37 am Flight 77 crashed into the western facade of the Pentagon in Washington, DC. After learning from family and friends that the World Trade Center Towers and the Pentagon had been hit by planes, passengers on Flight 93 fought with terrorists in control of the plane, causing their plane to crash into a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania at 10:07 am.
