The Black Watch Memorial Library in Ticonderoga, New York

The Black Watch Memorial
Library was built in 1905.

Funding from the library was
secured from the Carnegie
Foundation.

The Black Watch is a British Army Company of Scots that fought tenaciously against the French at the Battle of Ticonderoga on July 8, 1758, during the French and Indian War. 

The Adult Reading
Room

The large room has

comfortable seating.

Adult Non Fiction
books line the walls.

The vaulted ceiling above

the Children's Area.

The Rocking Chair is filled

with stuffed animals.

A kid-sized table & chairs

for young visitors.

Lower shelving holds
magazines.

The Reference Desk &

Check Out are at a desk

at the rear of the library.

The librarian provided local history books for me to look through as I searched for information on Ticonderoga's historic buildings.

The library had extra visitors on Saturday during the Captain James T. Kirk, AKA William Shatner Visit.  Some came in to charge their phones. Others came to the library to use the
free Wifi.  Still other Star Trek fans came to sit quietly and recharge their "batteries" during
a very busy day.
